We're not asking for a thousand dollars, five hundred dollars, or anything so bold. To be honest, we're hoping to spread the committment as thin as possible from as many people as possible.

Why?

We'd like to share this effort with as many people as possible, to increase awareness, participation, and passion for what we're involved with. If you have the means and desire to be a part of this, you, my friend are amazing, and we'll be glad to take whatever you can afford to part with. We are doing what we can, from now until September to make the largest impact possible.

For reference, our average donation to date is $20. That's not a lot, and I promise you will get $20 worth of entertainment from our updates alone, not to mention the positive impact this will have on our chosen charities.

We'd love to tell you this is something we can afford to do cheaply, since it's a beater rally, and nobody has support crews, but the fact is, we are taking on huge personal committments, from little things to plane tickets to taking off weeks, if not months, to make a difference. The payoff for us is the journey, the adventure, and the hope that somehow we can make a real difference. All three of us have had annual charity donations, and contributions, but never before have we had a chance to really see things happen first hand, as a result of our efforts. It's really staggering to think about it, honestly. What we're looking for from our donating partners is that same sense of empowerment.

This year it is us, maybe next year it's you, and another rally, another event, another spark..

MYDF2

Mongolian Youth Development Foundation (MYDF) is non-governmental, non profit making organization with major emphasis on providing youth development programs in Mongolia and working to assist Mongolian youth in their development into active members of society, by providing social, educational, cultural and physical activities.

The MYDF works in cooperation with the Mongolian government and other Mongolian NGOs, as well as with foreign governmental and non-governmental organisations for the welfare of Mongolia's children and youth.

The MYDF is run by a combination of permanent staff and volunteers. The majority of our staff is aged between 21 and 28 years old. By involving young people in the decision-making process of our activities, we ensure that the MYDF addresses the issues that are most important to Mongolia's youth.

The very root of MYDF has began since 1997 with the Mongolian Youth Development Centre (MYDC) through its various programmes that addressed for assisting the young people of Mongolia through the process of transition between childhood and adulthood, to enable them to become fully participating members of the community. The MYDC helped young people to develop them to their full capacity and to be confident individuals in the rapidly changing and developing world. In the year of 2004, MYDC developed into Mongolian Youth Development Foundation (MYDF), with additional and broader vision for strengthening youth and youth development organizations in Mongolia.

Sponsor us Please!

If you're interested in learning why you should bother, please read our Reasons to Join our Team list.

In addition to our charity goals, we're looking to offset some of our personal expenses on the trip in order to maintain our gainful employment back home, as well as avoid certain financial ruin. While we can't promise to do everything imaginable for our sponsors, (there are rules regarding respecting the integrity and image of the Mongol Rally) we can assure all interested parties that we are without question the most flexible and capable bunch involved.

No sponsorship package is too small (OR TOO BIG!!). We'll take anything and reciprocate accordingly, from advertising your product, service, or organization online and on our car, to including you in our summaries, reports, and web broadcasts. Our three major backers (boasas.com, adorevintage.com, ironhive.com will be updating our progress daily, and collectively they garner over 50,000 page views per day.

Ideally, we would like to align ourselves with companies we believe in, with products we'd use and will use on our trip, and organizations that see the amazing effect that an event like this can have on lives. We aren't asking for this help because we're cheap, trust me, we're shelling out thousands of dollars each just to experience it. Our overhead is a small chunk of that, and our charity goals will not suffer as a result of a sponsorship. Contact us at rallyforcharity@gmail.com for more details.

Sponsorship Packages - Ideas and Exposure

Packages

Look. We're winging this. We are not advertising geniuses, or masters of the great "sell". We're three guys who can't afford to do this on our own. If you have a company that has products we'll use, from clothing, to auto-mechanical in nature, to survival equipment, maps, or electronics, we want to work with you. We'll be using those things on our trip, and the things we use, they might as well be yours. If you've got products you'd like us to photograph and chronicle during our trip, fantastic. We were going to TAKE PICTURES ANYWAYS. If you want to have us wear silly hats in silly places with silly people (or serious-faced ones, for that matter) let's talk. To learn more about sponsorship, visit our Sponsorship Deal Page

Every penny we get in sponsorship package will go towards the trip and towards the ultimate goal of bringing our car to auction for sale, for our charity. Nothing wasted on this adventure. If you can help us ensure our success and raise the probability of arriving safely and subsequently getting back home to our loved ones, we'd be glad to do so using your help. We'd be forever indebted and with the press coverage the Mongol Rally gets, you'd be getting a wonderful bargain and the satisfaction of helping us do something genuinely brilliant and good. Win-Win, yeah?

Contact us. Let's work something out. Expect to see your products on this site, in our photos and video, and on hundreds of blogs and sites from every other person and team following the rally. Mail us now at rallyforcharity@gmail.com
